30 Day Healthy Brain Challenge: Day 22

Safety 1st – Check your Home for Safety Hazards

One of the easiest ways to maintain a healthy brain is to protect it from injury.  Brain Injury is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide and in Canada, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is more common than breast cancer, spinal cord injury, HIV/AIDS, and multiple sclerosis (MS) combined.

Check out our previous blog,  An Ounce of Prevention, to learn helpful ways to prevent injury at home, on the road and at play.  Also view our OT-V video, Fall Prevention, below to learn how to make your home a safer place.

Be sure to join the 30 Day Healthy Brain Challenge, complete each day’s activity and let us know your progress!
